Context

D2C brands sell across Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook and website chat at once, in English, Hindi and Hinglish, with traffic spiking whenever a campaign goes live.

The problem

Teams couldn't reply fast enough, and sales slipped. Sending every message to a large AI model would have been too expensive at tens of thousands of messages a week, and it invents prices and products.

What I built

Multi-agent engineIn production

A router plus sales, FAQ, complaint, collab and fallback agents, each with its own tools.

Code first, model secondIn production

Order status, product shares and comments on product posts are answered by code from live Shopify data.

Hindi & HinglishIn production

Language detection for Indic scripts, and replies in the language the customer writes in.

Human handoffIn production

Wholesale leads, collaborations and tricky chats go to the brand's team with the full thread, and the bot stays quiet once a person takes over.

Merchant web appIn build

A chat-first web app where merchants ask about sales, products and conversations, and approve changes the copilot proposes before anything is written.

The hard part

01Products went missing after a deploy

A brand added two products to Shopify and only one reached LinkfliQ, an hour late. Shopify's update was accepted, then queued in memory; a deploy restarted the server before the queue ran, and Shopify never resends an update it was told arrived.

02Fixed so it can't happen quietly again

Every 10 minutes the system now re-checks each store for products changed since the last check, a daily pass removes products Shopify no longer lists, and the server waits for its queues to empty before it shuts down.

How quality was enforced

01Prices come from the catalogue

A price reconciler overwrites any price the model gets wrong before the reply is sent.

02Checked against what actually ran

Replies are verified against the tool calls that really happened, not what the model claims.

03Every call metered

Tokens and cost are logged per call per brand, so cost per conversation is measured.

Result

1M+ conversations for 25+ brands. In one measured week, 99% of 36,266 product-comment replies were sent with no paid AI call, because code answered them from live catalogue data.
